Opening of the XXI IAHR World Congress

 For the Opening Ceremony and Keynote Lecture/Gary Lease Memorial Lecture, we invite all Congress participants to the Theater Erfurt, our opening venue in the heart of Erfurt.

The Opening Ceremony and Keynote Lecture/Gary Lease Memorial Lecture will commence at 4 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2015 with a keynote presentation by Prof. Dr. Hubert Seiwert.

After the Opening Ceremony and Keynote Lecture, we cordially invite all registered participants to a Welcome Reception in the atrium of the Theater Erfurt.

Closing of the IAHR Congress

Altes Heizkraftwerk Erfurt

The Closing Ceremony and Keynote Lecture is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the "Alte Heizkraftwerk". We are grateful to Prof. Dr. Ingvild Gilhus, who will be the closing speaker at our Congress with a paper on "Bodies, texts and otherness: Religious change in antiquity and today". 

The Closing Ceremony and Keynote Lecture is followed by the IAHR General Assembly. All members of national and regional associations are invited to partake in the General Assembly of the IAHR.

Thursday, August 27, 7-10 p.m.

The IAHR Women Scholars' Network invites female scholars to their meeting at 6 p.m. in room 442, to be followed by a reception at 7 p.m. for those who have attended the Meeting.
